Dr. Lahab Al-Samarrai is the CEO of the Institute For Conflict and Assistant Professor at Bastyr University Department of Counseling and Health Psychology is a licensed Clinical Psychotherapist with a Masters in Clinical Psychology and PhD in Clinical Psychotherapy with a sub specialty in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy. He has been practicing for over a 20 years in residential, clinical settings, schools, universities and private settings. Practicing since 1999. He is active in research and writing and has developed a working relationship with the Jung Institute in Zurich since 2005.
Dr. Lahab has worked extensively with children, adolescents and adults, providing individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy and group therapy as well as lecturing and providing clinical supervision to other professionals.
He started to work with Mythodrama in 2005 and has since been using Mythodrama in group and individual settings. Having seeing the positive effects of Mythodrama himself, he opened the IFC in 2010 to bring the process to the United States. Conferences, trainings and talks that he organizes bring together multiple specialists in the field on the psychology of conflict.
