Join us for a free lecture by our Master of Public Health students, from Bastyr University! This event is held at our Bastyr Center for Natural Health Clinic, in rooms 165/166, from 10 a.m. - Noon.

Topics covered in this Healthy Living Naturally class include Type 2 Diabetes and Environmental Injustices

Type 2 Diabetes

We will discuss national health disparities in Type 2 Diabetes, and the environmental and social factors contributing to these inequities. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in advocacy in support of upstream prevention of Type 2 Diabetes in disproportionately affected communities.

Environmental Injustices: Land, Water, Air

Our land, water, and air form the foundation of our existence. The viability of our living environments impacts human health. For vulnerable populations, the state of the earth has even greater health consequences than populations with privilege. Please join us for a presentation about environmental justice issues addressing how human actions lead to environmental changes that affect our health.
