Dr. Majd currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at Bastyr Center for Natural Health providing supervision and clinical training in areas of immune wellness and pain management. He also is a board-certified family medicine physician who sees patients at UW Neighborhood Factoria Clinic.

Clinical Interests:

Dr. Majd’s clinical interests include integrative holistic medicine, acupuncture, neuromuscular conditions and pain management. His research interests include acupuncture for immune wellness support, acupuncture and sports medicine, and post-stroke rehabilitation. Dr. Majd’s areas of expertise include integrated holistic medicine, chronic disease management, medical education, men's health, neuro-muscular diseases, pain management, preventive care, sports medicine and women's health.

Healing Philosophy:

Dr. Majd views patient care as a multidisciplinary approach including lifestyle, nutrition, and complementary and alternative therapies. He believes medicine is science, art, observation and communication. Sometimes patients express their conditions verbally; holistic medicine entrains one to also listen to the “body’s communication.” Based on what he observes and what the patient shares, Dr. Majd strives to bring together a holistic plan to return the patient to their optimal health.

Beyond simply delivering care, he also believes we need to empower patients through education and encouragement to take charge of their journey to well-being. Dr. Majd believes that trust and candid communication between patient and physician are critical to providing high-quality care. He acknowledges that that there is nothing more rewarding than seeing his patients return to wellness and embrace more healthful approaches to life.

Education and Affiliations:

Dr. Majd has always believed in looking beyond symptoms and treating the whole person. After completing his medical training at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Majd’s enthusiasm for complementary medicine brought him to Bastyr University, where he completed his Master of Science in Acupuncture. Dr. Majd continued his affiliation with Bastyr as clinical faculty throughout his Family Medicine Residency at the University of Washington, and is accredited by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and the American Association of Medical Acupuncture. Dr. Majd is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine.

In his spare time, Dr. Majd is an avid international traveler keen to experience the cultures of destination countries. He is enthusiastic about health and healthy living and is interested in dog training and exercise. In addition to English, Dr. Majd also is fluent in Farsi.
