Tara Brooke Nelson, ND Dr. Nelson completed a residency at Bastyr Center for Natural Health and is currently adjunct faculty. As clinical supervisor and in her private practice, she sees patients for a variety of conditions: HIV/AIDS, pre- and post-operative support care, environmental illnesses, tick and other vector borned diseases, physical medicine, women’s health, chronic health conditions including fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. She is currently earning her license in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine to increase the scope of healing options for her patients. She worked as a research assistant in the writing of the "Balneotherapy”"chapter of the Textbook of Natural Medicine while she earned her ND from Bastyr University. After earning her BS in biology from the University of Nebraska, she served in the Peace Corps in west Africa. She became the volunteer liaison between the Peace Corps and Bastyr University while she was stateside. Dr. Nelson is a member of WANP, AANP, International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society, and California Lyme Disease Association. Spanish is her second language.
