Angela Hughes, MAc, LAc Ms. Ms. Hughes is currently a adjunct faculty member at Bastyr Center for Natural Health. She has been practicing acupuncture for almost 20 years and works at several clinics in the area. Her service to her community includes setting up and running an acupuncture clinic at a drug and alcohol program in London and serving as a horticultural therapist at a psychiatric hospital. Ms. Hughes clinical interest include detoxification, women's health, geriatrics, end of life care, cancer care, and stroke rehabilitation.
Ms. Hughes has been sought out by local and national media as an expert in stroke treatment and women's health. Seattle Woman Magazine published her article on stroke recovery and women's health, and she authored a chapter on acupuncture in the textbook Alternative Treatments for Fibromyalgia & CFS, 2nd edition.
Ms. Hughes graduated from the London School of Acupuncture. She received a master's degree in Acupuncture and a certificate in Chinese Herbal Medicine from the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is a member of NCCAOM and British Acupuncture Council.
