Angela Hughes, MSAOM, LAc
Ms. Hughes has been practicing acupuncture for almost 20 years and is currently a faculty member at Bastyr Center for Natural Health as well as at several clinics in the area. Her service to her community includes setting up and running an acupuncture clinic at a drug and alcohol program in London and serving as a horticultural therapist at a psychiatric hospital. At Bastyr Center, Ms. Hughes focuses on detoxification, women's health, geriatrics, end of life care, cancer care, and stroke rehabilitation.
Ms. Hughes has been sought out by local and national media as an expert in stroke treatment and women's health. Seattle Woman Magazine published her article on stroke recovery and women's health, and she authored a chapter on acupuncture in the textbook Alternative Treatments for Fibromyalgia & CFS, 2nd edition.
Ms. Hughes graduated from the London Scool of Acupuncture. She continued her acupuncture education in Seattle where she received a Master's degree in Acupuncture and a certificate in Chinese Herbal Medicine at the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is a member of NCCAOM and British Acupuncture Council.
