Calvin Kwan, ND

Current Roles

Dr. Calvin Kwan is a clinical resident at Bastyr Center for Natural Health, where he supervises student physicians in the Department of Naturopathic Medicine. He also sees patients in private practice in Practitioner Care at Bastyr Center.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Kwan’s clinical interests include diabetes (types 1 and 2), metabolic syndromes and cardiovascular diseases. Additionally, he has a deep-seated passion for naturopathic manipulation, sports medicine, diet and lifestyle coaching.

Healing Philosophy

Dr. Kwan maintains a patient-centered philosophy in which the journey to health begins and ends with the patient’s desire to succeed. During this journey, Dr. Kwan acts as a guide and teacher to help patients pursue their short-term goals and lifetime aspirations.

Past Experience

Dr. Kwan was a teaching assistant at Bastyr University for courses in naturopathic manipulation, orthopedics, physical clinical diagnosis and hydrotherapy. He was also co-captain of the Bastyr Sports Medicine Club. He was previously a surgical assistant in a Los Angeles medical center.
